one of my favorite games was riddles....
so i will start it. Its a long one so listen up!
A man wakes up in a room. it is 15'x15' with no windows and two doors. by each door stands a guard. on a piece of paper, a note says: "one door leads to certain death. one door leads to freedom. one guard ALWAYS lies, the othe one ALWAYS tells the truth. you may ask one question to determine the safe way out, but only one. if you ask more than one question the gaurds will kill you." the man doesnt know which door is which or which guard is which.
what 1 question gaurantees his safety?

Ask either guard this question, "If you were the other guard, which door would you say leads to freedom?"
There are two possibilities here, you either asked the guard who lies or the one who is truthful. Assume you ask the truthful one this ? He would honestly lie, so that whatever he says is actually opposite. Assume you ask the liar this ? He would be lie about what the honest guard would say, also making his answer the opposite of true. So, in either case you cannot trust the guard. All you need to do at this point is go opposite of wherever the guard tells you is freedom.

Sorry that I haven't posted in a while, but I've been on vacation. Rind, your answer is indeed the correct one. I guess that means that it is your turn for a riddle. Good luck!

I thought this one was pretty hard, but maybe somebody else can figure it out pretty easy. Here it goes.
I am a word that consists of 5 letters, yet I am pronounced as but one. What am I?
If this is too hard (perhaps it just wasn't obvious to me) then I can give a hint or something. Let's see how this goes...
